BORDERS REOPENING
Following on from the 15th of June borders reopening, «LE MONDIAL DES VINS BLANCS
STRASBOURG» is positively organizing to make the 2020 edition in The Congress Centre-
postponed to the Sunday 18th and Monday 19th October – a great success!
COVID CONTEXT – OIV RULES RELAXATION
During the current COVID pandemic, the International Organization for Vine and Wines
temporary accepted a relaxation regarding the international wine contests rules.
That means:
• for a 5 wine judges table: 2 foreign wine judges
• for a 6 or 7 wine judges table: 3 foreign wine judges
• recommendation for inviting national wine judges with a solid experience of international
contests
AN OPTIMUM ANTICIPATION OF STRASBOURG EVENTS – GL EVENTS GROUP
In this particular context, both anticipation and health safety are priorities for Strasbourg
Events. That is why, the organization team has considered all possible scenarios to be ready
whatever the health safety and logistic adaptations will be.
According to the newly accepted OIV rules proportions, wine judges are selected to ensure
the international dimension of the contest and always with the same firm determination to
put in light the winegrowers of the 5 continents.
Le Mondial des Vins Blancs will take place in the Congress Centre in an equipped room
complying with the health rules in force.
WORLDWIDE SAMPLES AND PARTNERSHIPS
We are glad to have received for now samples from 10 countries: Australia, France,
Germany, Hungary, Italy, Moldavia, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic and USA. Thanks to the
latest borders reopening, numerous countries will also be able to compete very soon.
